Machine Shop Apprentice
Job Description
- The apprentice will be On site trained in CNC Turning, CNC Milling, EDM & Inspection
- Taught to read engineering drawings and how to understand and work with GD &T
- Understand the basic requirments of Health & Safety at work
- Introduction to CAD/ CAM using Visi and Hypermill
- Will be trained in the use of MCOSMOS CMM software and Non-contact Vision inspection systems
- Training in manual inspection methodology
The ability to work under pressure, manage work loads and priorities for the Medical, Automotive, MOD and F1 industries
Quality/ Inspection Apprentice
Job Description
The apprentice will receive full training both on site and off site in the inspection of components using:
- Mitutoyo MCOSMOS V4.3 CMM Software
- Micro-Vu Vision non contact measurement software
- Hommel Opticline non contact measuring machine
- Basic hand held measurement equipment
- Full training in auditing, how to plan and conduct audits
- How to create Control Plans, SOP's, Work Instructions and other Quality related documentation
- Learn how to investigate non-conformances both internal and external, overcoming challenges to implementation and providing solutions
The ability to work under pressure, manage work loads and priorities for the Medical, Automotive, MOD and F1 industries
Both of the above positions will be:
- 40 Hrs a week- this includes your day release at college
- Monday- Thursday 7.30am to 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm
- Holidays 20 days + 8 Bank holidays, an extra 5 days are given once you have completed a set number of years
- Annual Company Bonus

- Pay rate- Dependant on Age TBC

Mechanical Inspector
Job Description
The succesful candidate will be working as a Mechanical Inspector within our Quality Inspection Team. You will be required to carry out both manual and CMM Inspection on internally manufactured components.
What will this role involve?
- CMM experience of Mitutoyo Cosmos & Cat 1000 Software would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ideally will have experience with a variety of inspection tools (Vernier, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc) as well as a good knowledge of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- First Off's, In Process, Final Inspection and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR'S) as per customer requirements and other associated quality-related paperwork.
- Ensuring Quality and Delivery performance is achieved.
Other experiences:
Previous experience of working as a Mechanical Inspector would be an advantage preferable with a precision engineering environment.

CNC Milling Programmer / Setter / Operator
Job Description
We currently have various positions available for experienced CNC Programmers, Setters and Operators up to 5-Axis. You will be self-motivated, have a high attention to detail and the ability to communicate clearly to members of the team. Ideally you will have served an apprenticeship or have 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CAD programming experience using Hypermill or Visi preferable but not essential
- Off-line programming
- Able to program, set & operate up to and including 5-axis machinery
- Produce small, complex batches of components to quality standards and tight tolerances
- Understanding of GD&T
- Have experience in Fanuc controls

Milling Section Operators
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a number of operators in the milling section of our factory to man our CNC machines:
- Will be taught to load and operate a variety of different types of machines
- Taught how to clean, deburr and dimensionally check components
- How to use our Javelin system
- Ensure all paperwork is correctly filled in
- Adhere to the companies H & S policies
For all positons listed above we operate the following:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday- Thursday 7.30am to to 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am to 1.30pm
- Holidays 20 days + Bank Holidays. An extra 5 days are given once you have completed a set number of years (under review)
